This Quirky Stall In Taiwan Breaks Free From Taboo

Taiwan is also known for their quirkiness, and this is the ultimate way to prove it. The Shilin Night Market located at the Shilin District of Taipei, Taiwan, is considered to be the largest and famous night market in the city with over 500 stalls for you to choose from!

Tourists and locals alike flock to the area for some awesome dining and shopping experience, but one stall stood out  from the rest: A Piece of Gayke. If you did not know what gayke is, well you are about to.

Yes, that is indeed a giant penis on their board.

Taiwan is a country whose reputation precedes itself. If you research the country you will find all manner of articles and posts on its quirkiness – themed cafes, geoparks that look like something out of Dr Seuss' mind, and Hello Kitty retrofitted planes. But it was the 'gayke' I wanted to find. The quirky penis-shaped waffles, hot dogs, and ice blocks in the Shilin Night Market. I chose cranberry and my friend, Sara, chose lemon. Though we were given curious glances and pointed stares by others, it was a hilarious start to our short trip to this beautiful country… And I can say that I have truly eaten food porn! | #Shilin #Taipei #Taiwan #Asia

Most tourists make it a point to visit the night market when in Taiwan, just to experience this unapologetically vulgar stall.  While this has been around Taiwan for some time, it has yet to make a debut in the rest of the world.  And it’s understatement to say that everyone’s waitinggg.
